What a glorious day Saturday was and this wedding singer from Belfast, Northern Ireland spent it performing at the wedding ceremony of Michael & Sally at the beautiful Riverdale Barn in Northern Ireland. The sun was shining and the ducks were quacking and the wedding dress was beautiful! Everyone was smiling and it is at moments like that that I just love being a wedding singer and musician. Travelling throughout Northern Ireland can be tiring but I love seeing the different wedding ceremony venues and meeting so many different brides and grooms. Just a little reminder to get your wedding ceremony musician and singer booked nice and early. I have had to turn quite a few brides and grooms away recently. I am happy to perform at wedding ceremonies, church wedding ceremonies, wedding drinks receptions and civil ceremonies and partnerships. |

This wedding ceremony singer from Northern Ireland spent the weekend in Ethiopia! Wow... what a fantastic weekend, jetting off to Africa for the weekend. It makes a big change from performing at wedding ceremonies all over Belfast and Northern Ireland and I do love Northern Ireland weddings... but this was a real once in a life time opportunity! I was performing with The Dandy Horses for the Irish Ambassador and British Ambassador at The Sheraton Hotel for the annual charity ball. They raised quite a bit of money too.
The ballroom was spectacular, over 700 people. How would you like a wedding ceremony of 7oo people?! Take a look at the ballroom below and the crowd loving our music. we had them bopping away. Now I'm home, I've plenty of emails to reply to. Remember, dates for 2015 booking quickly. Get in touch for your own personal wedding ceremony package for your wedding around Northern Ireland . So for this wedding singer from Northern Ireland, the time has nearly arrived for me to jet off to foreign shores. I'm not working as a wedding ceremony singer in Belfast or anywhere else in Northern Ireland this weekend, I'm off to Ethiopia to perform at the Irish Embassy gala ball with the fabulous 'The Dandy Horses'! Really looking forward to getting my short sleeves on and enjoying the lovely warms weather.
Before I head off though, I am busy replying to all the lovely brides and grooms getting in touch with me about their wedding day. Dates are filling up but there are still some weekends free for wedding ceremonies and wedding receptions all around Northern Ireland. Remember I do offer some wonderful wedding packages which include wedding ceremony singer and singer and musician for pre-dinner drinks also. You can check out my packages here. So what a busy wedding singer I was this weekend. On Sunday I spent the day at the Perfect Bliss wedding Fayre in Lisburn, Northern Ireland, serenading lots of excited brides and grooms. It seems that a lot of people forget about organising a wedding ceremony singer until very close to the wedding. However, I was only too happy to offer my wedding singer services to the happy couples.
Favourite wedding ceremony songs still seem to be Ed Sheeran 'Thinking Out Loud' and Christins Perri 'A Thousand Years'. I sang theses several times, much to the delight of the passing brides. I was also delighted to be working with Geraldine from perfect Bliss weddings for the first time. They organise wedding fayres all over Northern Ireland and were an absolute delight to work with. So organised! Just what I like! I also met some other great vendors during the show. Here is me getting warmed up! The wedding singer business around Belfast and Northern Ireland is booming! Spring has well and truly arrived and requests are coming in daily for wedding ceremonies in chapels, churches, castles and hotels all around Northern Ireland!
This wedding singer has a very busy weekend lined up for her this weekend. I am performing at The Empires, Belfast, Northern Ireland tomorrow afternoon with the fantastic The Dandy Horses as part of the Belnash Festival for singer songwriters in Northern Ireland. Then on Sunday I am performing at a wedding fayre at the Island Civic Centre in Lisburn. Would love to see some of you there! It is a great way of hearing what I do in an informal setting. Playing between 2pm and 5pm. Well the rain may be pouring in Belfast, Northern Ireland today, but that didn't stop this wedding ceremony singer getting to the church on time and it definitely didn't stop the bride getting to the church either! I was performing at a beautiful religious ceremony at Holy Cross Chapel, Crumlin Rd, Belfast today. As always the bride looked absolutely beautiful and the priest was a very welcoming chap.
I had never been to this chapel before and it was a very grand venue for a wedding ceremony. The acoustics were fantastic and the violin sounded so sweet when I was performing my new instrumental, Ave Maria by Bach on solo violin. I certainly enjoyed being able to perfrom several pieces on the solo violin as well as working as wedding singer. Brides often ask for a little advice about what they should have performed on their big day. Everyone will be different. However, I think a bit of variety is always lovely. So a wedding singer and also a wedding musician. I love getting the chance to play solo violin and also sing and play guitar. perhaps an instrumental of Canon in D for walking down the aisle and perhaps Lord of the Dance for a triumphant exit. Remember. very often priests will only allow hymns to be sung at the ceremony. However, you can often get away with an instrumental version of a popular song. Today I played and instrumental version of One Thousand Years by Christina Perri for the entrance. Perfect! It is amazing how busy this Northern Ireland wedding singer has been with church and chapel wedding ceremony enquiries! In fact, I have had several brides want to make church ceremony bookings for the same day. That really doesn't happen very often! Lol. I always hate having to say no too, I'd rather be able to perform at all the church wedding ceremonies that I can. It keeps me on my toes and keeps my fingers nimble for the fiddle too.
I am also really busy getting ready to leave Belfast, Northern Ireland and head to Ethiopia with The Dandy Horses for our big Irish Embassy gig in Addis Abbaba. Heading off in less than 5 weeks. I love playing withe the guys in the band as they are such talented and versatile musicians. We generally perform all original songs and music, but we also perform at weddings receptions when the notion takes us. If you are interested in booking them, just get in touch with me and I'll see if we can help. The band will perform at church wedding ceremonies, civil partnerships and receptions. So hard to believe it is almost a year since the launch of our last EP, 'Hat On The Sun'. Sometimes working as a self-employed wedding singer in Belfast and around Northern Ireland can bring to me some really beautiful locations, it can also allow me to meet some really interesting people and musicians. This week I have been asked to perform with another wedding musician at a wedding ceremony. I don't know this musician yet, but I always look forward to meeting other like minded people and getting the opportunity to work when them and see what take they have on popular wedding hymns.
I've also been working on a few arrangements for a wedding fayre coming up soon. I am looking at wedding ceremony music for religious and non religious ceremonies and adding in a little bit of mandolin. A friend of mine has thankfully agreed to perform with me. It also means I won't have to travel around Northern Ireland on my own for this one! Don't forget, you can catch me performing at the Perfect Bliss Wedding Fayre in Lisburn on Sunday 8th March. Loads of discounts and offers will be available!
