So this wedding singer has had a little time off this week to chill out at home in Belfast and visit friends around Northern Ireland. I''ve also been practising some new songs and having a little look at the banjo. I'm not quite ready to use it to accompany myself yet at wedding ceremonies but it was good to put a bit more work into it. I found this photo of me from a few years ago too. Also, my wedding singer business cards arrived and my flyers. I'm all set for the wedding fayre in Lisburn, Belfast on Sunday 8th March.! |

Well what a busy little wedding singer I have been this week, running around Belfast, Northern Ireland with a few trips around the rest of Northern Ireland planned for later in the week. Spring has well and truly arrived and it is lovely to see all the brides starting to use the Spring colours.
I've been so busy reordering my wedding singer business cards and flyers for the wedding fayre comning up in Lisburn, Northern Ireland on Sunday 8th March. But I love love love getting the chance to design and update my images. I'm starting to get booking for Summer now too with brides and grooms planning their wedding ceremonies well in advance. A good mix of religious and non-religious services. remember I am also happy to be a wedding singer for the wedding reception too. Check out my prices page for more details. I'm also bust learning new songs for wedding ceremonies at the mo too.. Check out my version of One Thousand Years. Chrisitna Perri too! - Perfect wedding ceremony song So it is all confirmed! I will be appearing at the Perfect Bliss Wedding Event in Lisburn, Northern Ireland on Sun 8th March. For those of you not too familiar with Northern Ireland, Lisburn is very close to Belfast and so you can pop down and have a little listen to me doing my thing as a wedding singer. The event has loads of other wonderful bits and pieces for your perfect wedding day. So you won't only hear wedding ceremony singers, wedding bands, wedding reception singers and musicians, but the place will be filled with flowers and pretty things too!
It all kicks off at 2pm at Lagan Valley Island, Lisburn, Northern Ireland and runs until 5pm. It really will be a great day and you will get to hear me perform loads of wedding songs and play the solo violin. I might also have a few other wedding musicians and singers pop in and perform with me to let you hear what else Noeleen Cosgrove Music can offer you. There will also be great discounts on the day! I had the great pleasure of performing at this beautiful Belfast bride's wedding over Christmas. We had a fantastic afternoon in Belfast City Hall, Northern Ireland, before heading to a local restaurant where I had the great pleasure of performing with The Dandy Horses at the evening function. As much as I love being a wedding singer around Northern Ireland, it is sometimes just fantastic to be able to get a chance to play with such a great band and with my friends! I'm looking forward to jetting off from Belfast, Northern Ireland to sing in Ethiopia at the Irish Embassy at the end of March. Also, I've been busy getting things sorted for a wedding exhibition coming up in Lisburn Civic Centre on Sunday 8th March. If you want to hear me doing my wedding singer thing, you can catch me there between 2 and 5pm. There will be all sorts of great wedding music discounts! Remember, I will travel and sing at wedding ceremonies and civil partnerships all over Northern Ireland! Finally... have a listen to A Thousand Years - recorded in my living room. Maybe I could sing this at your wedding? So a busy weekend this weekend! As well as all the usual wedding ceremony and wedding reception bits and pieces, this wedding singer also had a rehearsal with the fabulous 'The Dandy Horses' for our big trip to Ethiopia to perform for the Irish Embassy. That went on quite late but was great fun. We are leaving Belfast, Northern Ireland on Thursday 19th March for 5 days. So no wedding ceremony in Belfast that weekend. However, if you are looking for a wedding singer for your ceremony or reception that weekend get in touch as I can recommend a few people.
Then, today, as generally I have no wedding ceremonies to perform at, I decided to do a wee home recording. A Thousand Years is such a beautiful song and a really popular one around Belfast and in fact throughout Northern Ireland, so I decided to record a cover of it my living room on the laptop. I'm also planning to perform an instrumental version at a wedding ceremony in Belfast very soon. Have a wee listen... Just found this beautiful photo of Ryan & Katie Vail. I played at their church wedding ceremony in 2013.... can't believe it has been so long. They had a lovely intimate wedding ceremony in Culmore, Derry/Londonderry, Northern Ireland. You see... I travel all over Northern Ireland! It was a beautiful day and she chose such wonderful music, Gabriel's Oboe - one of my favourite. We then left Northern Ireland and went to Donegal for the wedding reception. As much as I love performing at weddings in Belfast, Northern Ireland, I do so love a little trip away. Below is a little clip of Gabriel's Oboe from YouTube. I really should get a recording of me performing this. Such a great choice for a wedding ceremony. I'm not only a wedding singer in Belfast, but also a violin player.... Well I was recently asked to play this song for a wedding ceremony in Belfast, Northern Ireland.. Such a beautiful song, the true sentiment of love and a perfect wedding song! That is one of the joys of working as a wedding singer. I get to learn beautiful new songs that I otherwise wouldn't get the time to learn. Now, I'm actually going to play this on the violin and is it sounding really great... but I thought sure I might as well learn a few chords and lyrics. I'm sure this will prove very popular at other wedding ceremonies around Northern Ireland and will fit perfectly into my repertoire for the predinner drinks reception too. What are your favourite songs for wedding ceremonies and wedding receptions? Have you been to any weddings around Belfast or Northern Ireland where the wedding singer sang something completely inappropriate? Lol... I was a very busy little wedding singer yesterday. I started very early as I had to travel quite a distance in Northern Ireland to
get to my final destination. I always love a little trip away from Belfast. There are so many beautiful wedding venues, churches and castles around our lovely country. Belfast Castle is a favourite of mine, although I also love Crom Castle in Co Fermanagh, Northern Ireland. Then straight back home again to lovely Belfast for a rehearsal with the Dandy Horses for a little rehearsal for performance at the Irish Embassy in Ethiopia. We were discussing perhaps putting ourselves forward to perform at a Wedding Fair in Belfast. Do you think theses are worth while? Then I was working on my own wedding singer repertoire! I learnt a few new songs for a church wedding ceremony in Belfast, S'omewhere Over The Rainbow' and 'How Great Thou Art' Remember, if you are looking for a violin player for your church wedding ceremony or a civil service somewhere in Northern Ireland, I can offer a complete music wedding package. Just get in touch for prices if you are looking for something that i isn't on my option list. Sunday night again! Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. So many of you will now be married. :-) I had a great
weekend in Belfast, meeting a few new brides and meeting a couple of grooms to discuss their perfect wedding ceremony songs. I also managed a bit of time to do a few new recordings for my wedding singer website. Solo violin can set the perfect atmosphere for a church wedding service or intimate civil partnership. You can listen here to my new work. You can also listen below. I'm actually quite disappointed that there has been no snow In Belfast! The North West of Northern Ireland has seen
blizzards but barely a snow flake up here. It does however make travelling to wedding ceremonies and wedding receptions a lot easier, but I do love to get out there and build a snowman. I have had a few emails asking me how the discount I am offering works at the minute. So... as long as you book and pay your deposit in January, you will receive 10% off the booking. So that means if you book me as a wedding ceremony singer, for a church service or civil service you will be saving lots of money. There is also 10% off if you book me to play at your wedding reception. Can't beat that! Lol. |
