This wedding singer has a very busy weekend lined up for her this weekend. I am performing at The Empires, Belfast, Northern Ireland tomorrow afternoon with the fantastic The Dandy Horses as part of the Belnash Festival for singer songwriters in Northern Ireland. Then on Sunday I am performing at a wedding fayre at the Island Civic Centre in Lisburn. Would love to see some of you there! It is a great way of hearing what I do in an informal setting. Playing between 2pm and 5pm.
The wedding singer business around Belfast and Northern Ireland is booming! Spring has well and truly arrived and requests are coming in daily for wedding ceremonies in chapels, churches, castles and hotels all around Northern Ireland!

It is amazing how busy this Northern Ireland wedding singer has been with church and chapel wedding ceremony enquiries! In fact, I have had several brides want to make church ceremony bookings for the same day. That really doesn't happen very often! Lol. I always hate having to say no too, I'd rather be able to perform at all the church wedding ceremonies that I can. It keeps me on my toes and keeps my fingers nimble for the fiddle too.
I am also really busy getting ready to leave Belfast, Northern Ireland and head to Ethiopia with The Dandy Horses for our big Irish Embassy gig in Addis Abbaba. Heading off in less than 5 weeks. I love playing withe the guys in the band as they are such talented and versatile musicians. We generally perform all original songs and music, but we also perform at weddings receptions when the notion takes us. If you are interested in booking them, just get in touch with me and I'll see if we can help. The band will perform at church wedding ceremonies, civil partnerships and receptions. So hard to believe it is almost a year since the launch of our last EP, 'Hat On The Sun'. Sometimes working as a self-employed wedding singer in Belfast and around Northern Ireland can bring to me some really beautiful locations, it can also allow me to meet some really interesting people and musicians. This week I have been asked to perform with another wedding musician at a wedding ceremony. I don't know this musician yet, but I always look forward to meeting other like minded people and getting the opportunity to work when them and see what take they have on popular wedding hymns.
I've also been working on a few arrangements for a wedding fayre coming up soon. I am looking at wedding ceremony music for religious and non religious ceremonies and adding in a little bit of mandolin. A friend of mine has thankfully agreed to perform with me. It also means I won't have to travel around Northern Ireland on my own for this one! Don't forget, you can catch me performing at the Perfect Bliss Wedding Fayre in Lisburn on Sunday 8th March. Loads of discounts and offers will be available!
Well what a busy little wedding singer I have been this week, running around Belfast, Northern Ireland with a few trips around the rest of Northern Ireland planned for later in the week. Spring has well and truly arrived and it is lovely to see all the brides starting to use the Spring colours.
I've been so busy reordering my wedding singer business cards and flyers for the wedding fayre comning up in Lisburn, Northern Ireland on Sunday 8th March. But I love love love getting the chance to design and update my images. I'm starting to get booking for Summer now too with brides and grooms planning their wedding ceremonies well in advance. A good mix of religious and non-religious services. remember I am also happy to be a wedding singer for the wedding reception too. Check out my prices page for more details. I'm also bust learning new songs for wedding ceremonies at the mo too.. Check out my version of One Thousand Years. Chrisitna Perri too! - Perfect wedding ceremony song So it is all confirmed! I will be appearing at the Perfect Bliss Wedding Event in Lisburn, Northern Ireland on Sun 8th March. For those of you not too familiar with Northern Ireland, Lisburn is very close to Belfast and so you can pop down and have a little listen to me doing my thing as a wedding singer. The event has loads of other wonderful bits and pieces for your perfect wedding day. So you won't only hear wedding ceremony singers, wedding bands, wedding reception singers and musicians, but the place will be filled with flowers and pretty things too!
It all kicks off at 2pm at Lagan Valley Island, Lisburn, Northern Ireland and runs until 5pm. It really will be a great day and you will get to hear me perform loads of wedding songs and play the solo violin. I might also have a few other wedding musicians and singers pop in and perform with me to let you hear what else Noeleen Cosgrove Music can offer you. There will also be great discounts on the day! I had the great pleasure of performing at this beautiful Belfast bride's wedding over Christmas. We had a fantastic afternoon in Belfast City Hall, Northern Ireland, before heading to a local restaurant where I had the great pleasure of performing with The Dandy Horses at the evening function. As much as I love being a wedding singer around Northern Ireland, it is sometimes just fantastic to be able to get a chance to play with such a great band and with my friends! I'm looking forward to jetting off from Belfast, Northern Ireland to sing in Ethiopia at the Irish Embassy at the end of March. Also, I've been busy getting things sorted for a wedding exhibition coming up in Lisburn Civic Centre on Sunday 8th March. If you want to hear me doing my wedding singer thing, you can catch me there between 2 and 5pm. There will be all sorts of great wedding music discounts! Remember, I will travel and sing at wedding ceremonies and civil partnerships all over Northern Ireland! Finally... have a listen to A Thousand Years - recorded in my living room. Maybe I could sing this at your wedding? So a busy weekend this weekend! As well as all the usual wedding ceremony and wedding reception bits and pieces, this wedding singer also had a rehearsal with the fabulous 'The Dandy Horses' for our big trip to Ethiopia to perform for the Irish Embassy. That went on quite late but was great fun. We are leaving Belfast, Northern Ireland on Thursday 19th March for 5 days. So no wedding ceremony in Belfast that weekend. However, if you are looking for a wedding singer for your ceremony or reception that weekend get in touch as I can recommend a few people.
Then, today, as generally I have no wedding ceremonies to perform at, I decided to do a wee home recording. A Thousand Years is such a beautiful song and a really popular one around Belfast and in fact throughout Northern Ireland, so I decided to record a cover of it my living room on the laptop. I'm also planning to perform an instrumental version at a wedding ceremony in Belfast very soon. Have a wee listen... Just found this beautiful photo of Ryan & Katie Vail. I played at their church wedding ceremony in 2013.... can't believe it has been so long. They had a lovely intimate wedding ceremony in Culmore, Derry/Londonderry, Northern Ireland. You see... I travel all over Northern Ireland! It was a beautiful day and she chose such wonderful music, Gabriel's Oboe - one of my favourite. We then left Northern Ireland and went to Donegal for the wedding reception. As much as I love performing at weddings in Belfast, Northern Ireland, I do so love a little trip away. Below is a little clip of Gabriel's Oboe from YouTube. I really should get a recording of me performing this. Such a great choice for a wedding ceremony. I'm not only a wedding singer in Belfast, but also a violin player.... Well I was recently asked to play this song for a wedding ceremony in Belfast, Northern Ireland.. Such a beautiful song, the true sentiment of love and a perfect wedding song! That is one of the joys of working as a wedding singer. I get to learn beautiful new songs that I otherwise wouldn't get the time to learn. Now, I'm actually going to play this on the violin and is it sounding really great... but I thought sure I might as well learn a few chords and lyrics. I'm sure this will prove very popular at other wedding ceremonies around Northern Ireland and will fit perfectly into my repertoire for the predinner drinks reception too. What are your favourite songs for wedding ceremonies and wedding receptions? Have you been to any weddings around Belfast or Northern Ireland where the wedding singer sang something completely inappropriate? Lol... |
